- Communication Studies asks students to question how humans communicate with each other. Students in this major will pick one of five concentrations; Health Communication, Mass Media, Organizational Communication, Public Advocacy, and Public Relations.

- English asks students to examine text, both classic and modern, and interpret the meaning behind the words used. Student in this major can choose to just study English or get a concentration in creative writing, language and digital technology, literature and culture, or pedagogy.

- The History program examines historically events and trends through the lens of how it effects individuals and groups of people. This major prepares students for a career in government, media, and nonprofit work.

- International studies provides students with multiple viewpoints and perspectives to better understand societies outside the United States. The major prepares students for a career in government, law, and journalism.

Philosophy
- Philosophy is reasoned inquiry about the nature of persons, reality, thought, knowledge, values, and beauty. Philosophy helps students develop strong skills in writing, critical thinking, reading, and understanding complex texts.

- Organized around three modes of inquiry: Cultural Analysis, Historical Analysis and Textual Analysis. Religious Studies help students see commonalities across religions.

- Writing and Digital Rhetoric prepares students to be a writer in the modern age. This major sets up students for a career in writing, media, advertising, and entertainment.
